COLOR MISSION HELIOS

COLOR MISSION HELIOS, der zweite Film aus der COLOR MISSION, steht kurz vor der Markteinführung.

COLOR MISSION HELIOS, the second frilm from the COLOR MISSION will soon be released.

It is a simplyfied color film with only four layers and a very low sensitivity. So to speak: “Color for beginners”.

In these days of writing this we coat the final alyer onto the film on our coating machine in Switzerland.

We hope to be able to offer 35mm and sheet films already for the upcoming season.

Helios needs a lot of light but it rewards with a super fine grain and unique colors.

Its a perfect film for long exposures where people “vanish” from the image.

The sample images below were all shot out of the hand with a Leica M6 on a sunny spring day in Istanbul.

Leica M6, 2.0/35mm ASPHERICAL, Blende 2.0, 1/15-1/60sec.

HELIOS is expected to have (without filter) an ISO 3/6° with a usable film speed of about ISO 1.5/3°.

This is better to cope with than most people might imagine now. You simply need sun and a wide opened fast lens. The images will have the touch and feel of a large format image.
