Fixed grade neutral-warmtone fibre based paper on 250g support.

This new ADOX paper features a very good tonal range and an extremely high copy range (contrast range).
Nuance® will not let your highlights go rather it differentiates in the finest “nuances” between white and zone 2. This paper needs to be developed for up to 4 minutes in order to give full highlight and midtone differrentiation due to its extraordinary high silver content. It does not “snap” as much as Museum or Polywarmtone rather it works itself towards the viewer over his rhich tonality in the light and medium dark areas. This makes it extremely suitable for landscapes and portrait work as well as direct copies from a large format negative.
It has a high silver content chlorobromide emulsion.
This paper is coated on the last remaining coating alley which was built especially for coating fibre based papers in the 1950ies. It uses the vertical coating dunk-process and runs much slower than modern horizontal speed-coating machines. Thus Nuance® paper can really soak up with emulsion making it extremely silver rhich. This also leads to the necessity to develop it at least 2-3 minutes in order to achieve full dmax and greyscales. The developer and fixer are also faster exhausted, please recalculate their capacity.
The emuslion is free of incorporated developing substances or additional optical brighteners making it suitable for alternative printing and lith/MLD processing. No fade out of optical brighteners over longer exposure to light.
It develops a superb tonality and slightly greenish colour in Amidol developers whilst achiving a DMAX over 2,2.

In normal working developer the G2 paper achieves a DMAX of 2,15 and higher.
However some modern developers are formulated and their respective dilution as well as capacity is given for RC papers with incorporated developing substances. These developers will "give up" if confronted with the silver content of Nuance and the prints will not achieve maximum values. So please make sure you use a suitable devloper and do not use dilutions of 1+7 or higher.

If you can´t achieve good highlights extend the developing time. In order to find the optimum developing time, be not afraid to exceed 5 Minutes !
Watch out for base fogg though.
